Beloved of the Trinity, I love you but God loves you more. The Holy Spirit wants to answer some questions about being transported in the Spirit, so I’ll just let Him go ahead.
Being transported in the Spirit is nothing new. The Apostle Paul had this experience:
I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)
How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.2 Corinthians 12:2-4 KJV
Although this is not a new experience, it is new to many in our time. Being transported in the Spirit, say into heaven for example like Paul was, is new and strange to some people. Yes, you can experience heaven while still on Earth and No, you do not have to die first. Heaven wants to be discovered more than we want to discover it. So yes, you can be transported in the Spirit to heaven or from place to place on the Earth.
Transported From Place to Place Here on Earth
In the glory realm, there is no time. What takes us years to accomplish on the Earth is done “in the twinkling of an eye” in Heaven’s glory. The glory of God manifested in the Earth would produce the same effect as it would in Heaven. Because the glory is an accelerator, God will accelerate everything upon the Earth through the glory, including travel from place to place.
Yes, it is possible to be translocated from place to place on the Earth. In the past, many believers experienced being transported by the Spirit of God to some other place. Some have been transported in both body and spirit, while others have been transported only in the spirit. This is an experience that God is now restoring to the Church.
One biblical example that always comes to mind is that of Philip. Although there are several other passages of scripture that deal with this subject, this is the best known one:
And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.
But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.Acts 8:39-40 KJV
This experience has happened to a lot of people for example Renny McLean, John G. Lake and so many other brothers and sisters in Christ.
There is no distance in the glory. We can pray over someone in the Spirit, and it will be as if we were there physically praying for that person. Our human spirits, when they are yielded to the Holy Spirit, can reach a person when we cannot physically be there.
There is a dimension in which we can be in two realms at the same time. A similar thing happens to us when we are daydreaming, we can be sitting in a classroom physically but our minds and thoughts are elsewhere. In this same way, we can be in one place physically and our spirits can be somewhere else entirely.
This often happens during deep intercession. While we are interceding for a certain country, God may take us there. I’ve had this experience most times when I am praying for Israel or for revival upon the Earth.
There is no limitation in the glory. We are made up of a body, a mind and a spirit, and our spirits are mobile. This happened to Jesus too:
Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.Matthew 4:5-6 KJV
How could Jesus have been in the desert one minute and then on top of a pinnacle in Jerusalem the next? He had to be transported there. This was not a vision, for Jesus could not have been tempted if He had not really been there.
These things also occurred in Old Testament times. When Elijah was taken to heaven in a whirlwind, the other prophets looked for him, thinking that he had been transported to some other place.
And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master: lest peradventure the Spirit of the LORD hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, Ye shall not send.2 Kings 2:16 KJV
Apparently, this was a common happening with Elijah and these younger men had seen it before. This time they could not find the prophet. He had received a one-way ticket to Heaven, as had Enoch before him.
The prophets however, continued to believe that Elijah had been transported and insisted on searching for him.
And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but found him not.2 Kings 2:17 KJV
They searched for Elijah for three days (a three day journey was a long way to be transported in those days) but they “did not find him”.
Ezekiel was transported in the Spirit in a similar manner:
The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones.Ezekiel 37:1 KJV
In the days ahead, as we become more and more acquainted with this realm of glory, we will come to realize just how unlimited it is. Distance is nothing in the glory, and God can easily transport us from place to place.
The Apostle Paul carried many concerns for the young churches throughout the Roman Empire, but because he travelled so much, it was sometimes impossible for him to be physically present to deal with some of their problems. This did not seem to limit him. He wrote:
For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.Colossians 2:5 KJV
How is it possible that Paul was “absent in the flesh” (meaning that his body was not there) and still he rejoiced “to see their good order and steadfastness of their faith in Christ”? I believe Paul meant this literally and that he was taken in the Spirit to them.
Sometimes Paul had to deal with serious problems of sin in the churches, problems that threatened to destroy the church. When he could not be there in the flesh, he walked into another realm, one in which there was no distance. Having been taken to the various churches in the Spirit, he was able to deal with the person or the situation. For instance, Paul wrote to the Corinthian believer’s:
For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,
In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.1 Corinthians 5:3-5 KJV
Paul even claimed that when the Corinthians were gathered together, he would be there in the meeting in the Spirit and would know everything that was happening. How could this be? The Holy Spirit often gives us prophetic dreams in which we are alerted to some plans that has been hatched against us or our ministries. I am convinced that these are more than dreams, that we are actually been taken to a place to observe a situation, so that we can know what is happening and act accordingly.
Such experiences, of course, are not unique to Christian believer’s alone. Many of those who are involved in the new age movement have had what they call “out-of-body experiences”. The same is true of people involved in witchcraft and other demonic activities. This is logical because the enemy is a counterfeiter. He can only copy and pervert. He cannot create for there is only one Creator.
Lucifer knows how things operated in Heaven’s glory. He knew not only the glory, but also the knowledge of the glory, how things worked in the spirit realm. It should not be a surprise to anyone that he has released this knowledge (in a perverted sense) to the world.
Beloved, we should be moving in realms of glory beyond anything that satan can copy or pervert. If witches are able to tap into the supernatural realm for evil purposes, how much more should we be able to discover in the supernatural how to have access to the depths of the mysteries of God’s glory! He will surely release to us access to realms that no unsaved person can ever enter.
Many of the people who are involved in the occult have a great hunger for the supernatural and they have not found much in the church that can match what they have seen in the enemy’s camp. It is time to accelerate in the glory realm and many of those who are in darkness will be saved as a result.
The Holy Spirit still has so much to say, so I’m going to make this a two part series to avoid it being such a very long read. So stay tuned for the part two. However, before I go, you know Jesus loves you right? He loves you so much that He gave His life for you. Yes you! Do you have a relationship with Him? If you do not what are you waiting for? Why not reach out to Him right now? Say this prayer out loud and mean it from your heart:
Lord Jesus, I am a sinner. I ask that you come into my heart and be my Lord and personal Savior. I ask that you wash me of all my sins and make me whiter than snow. I renounce satan and every unfruitful work of darkness, in Jesus name I pray, Amen. Thank you Jesus, I love you Jesus.
Congratulations beloved, welcome home! We are brothers and sisters now and I love you so much. Now ask the Father for the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues and receive this free gift from God.
Beloved, I strongly recommend that you spend time in fellowship and communion with God through prayer, fasting, study of the word and worship. I also recommend that you invite the Holy Spirit to do all these spiritual activities with you as He is your helper and He is so fun to hang out with.
Always remember that God is not a brute, He is approachable, He loves you and wants a relationship with you. God bless you and keep you, God cause His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. God lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Amen
Until next time, I love you – continue in God’s love.
